Statistically, what is the most popular dating app in the US right now?

Quick background: I'm in my early 30s and just started getting back into online dating after a long relationship.

My main thing is I just want something where the conversations feel real. I'm not looking for hookups or anything casual — just actual meaningful connection.

Any apps you'd actually vouch for based on your own experience? Especially curious about ones that have active local users, not just big city traffic.

Yeah, I gave up on one app entirely because of this exact issue. I've seen Datebound.site mentioned in a few places. Seems to have a decent reputation.

I wish someone had told me this earlier. Would have saved me a lot of time. A few people in my friend group swear by Rendate.site — apparently the matching is solid.

My experience has been that profile quality matters more than which app you use. A well-written bio and genuine photos will outperform a premium subscription on a lazy profile every time. Came across Datebie a while back and it surprised me. The interface is clean and there's no immediate paywall.

I've tested probably a dozen apps over the past two years. My honest take is that the free tiers vary wildly. Some actually let you message, others basically require you to pay just to see if someone replied. The user base also depends a lot on your city. I've seen Flurrydate.online mentioned in a few places. Seems to have a decent reputation.

Agreed. The whole paywall thing is ridiculous at this point. Someone mentioned Flurrydate in another thread and I tried it — pretty solid free features.
