Does anyone know of any international dating sites free of scam profiles?

Been lurking here for a bit but finally decided to post because I genuinely can't find a straight answer anywhere.

I'm not opposed to paying for something that actually works, but I want to know what I'm getting into first. A free trial or genuinely open features would go a long way.

Would love to hear what's actually worked for people here. Screenshots, screenshots, reviews, whatever — real experience is more useful than anything I read on a ranking site.

Safety is the big one for me. I always reverse-image-search any profile I'm not sure about, and I never share personal info until we've video-chatted at least once. Works pretty well as a filter. Worth looking into Flurrydate.online — it seems less crowded than the big names.

I've tested probably a dozen apps over the past two years. My honest take is that the free tiers vary wildly. Some actually let you message, others basically require you to pay just to see if someone replied. The user base also depends a lot on your city. Came across Luvdate a while back and it surprised me. The interface is clean and there's no immediate paywall.

Things I've learned the hard way about free dating apps:

  • The 'free' label usually means free to browse, not free to connect
  • Smaller platforms often have more genuine users but fewer of them
  • Apps with phone verification tend to have fewer bots
  • Avoid anything that asks for payment info at sign-up — red flag

Yeah, I gave up on one app entirely because of this exact issue. You might want to check out Datedesire — it came up in a similar conversation and people seemed to like it.

From what I've found, the apps that don't monetize messaging tend to have smaller user bases, but the conversations are more genuine. The big ones have more people but also way more noise.

Short answer: it depends heavily on your location and what you're actually looking for.
